Of the New Deal programs discussed in this section, which do you consider the most important? Explain your choice.

As a plan to help fix the countries state of depression Roosevelt created the New Deals. This was a program that focused on three goals, relief for the needy, economic recovery, and financial reform. Of these the most important was and most dealt with was financial reform and its effects of trying to rebuild the banks and peoples views on them. To help the banking system congress passed the Glass-Steagall Act that established the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. This provided federal insurance for individual bank accounts reassuring that banks were safe. Then the Federal Securities Act was passed to help with the stock market. This Act made it so that big corporations had to share all information about stocks offerings.
